Dave Zabrowski Named President and CEO of Neterion

Former Hewlett Packard VP and GM Poised to Advance the Market for Ultra High Speed Ethernet Connectivity with New 10 Gbps Server and Storage I/O Technology

SILICON VALLEY, Calif. — October 15, 2002 — Neterion Inc. (formerly S2io Inc.), an emerging company developing the industry's first 10 Gigabit per second Ethernet connectivity technology, today named Dave Zabrowski as its new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Zabrowski, a 16-year veteran in the computing industry and former head of Hewlett Packard's North American Personal Computing Organization, will lead the delivery of ground-breaking Ethernet I/O (input output) technology that enables high-speed access of servers, server clusters and storage area networks up to 10 Gbps.

The new products, expected to be available in early 2003, solve growing data center and storage bottleneck problems faced by high-end enterprises. The market for high-end I/O products is projected to grow to over $3 billion over the next 5 years.

"Neterion's technology will change the fundamental economics of the data center which makes it attractive to OEMs and end customers, all of whom are seeking better returns on their technology investments." said Dave Zabrowski, Neterion's newly named President and CEO. "Neterion is one of the few emerging companies with management that has a proven track record of successfully chasing, catching, and solving the elusive I/O bottleneck. Through their collective experience, the current team has already demonstrated the ability to quickly innovate, build and deliver high-speed I/O technologies and products to a mass market. The company has strong customer traction and committed investors which is rare in the current technology environment."

Zabrowski plans to leverage his extensive experience in the computing industry to forge strategic partnerships with potential OEM partners to build a scalable channel. He will also focus his efforts on second round fundraising efforts that will ensure stability and longevity.

"We are extremely pleased to attract an executive of Dave's caliber to Neterion. Dave not only brings a wealth of relevant industry experience to Neterion but strong leadership and senior management skills that are now fundamental necessities to the viability of any startup today" said Patrick DiPietro, chairman of the board of Neterion and general partner at VenGrowth Capital Partners.
